Seven.

I just have to spill my guts about this. I have consumed myself with this book and its author and I couldn't be more challenged at this moment of life. This book, '7', will make you laugh, cry, and then laugh more.

I mean, first of all, I want her to be my best friend. I LITERALLY lol all over this book. Also, she speaks the thoughts of my heart and let me know I'm not the only one thinking them.

I've gotten Jason all excited, too, and we plan on doing our own '7' this year! The basic idea is 'less of me, more of God'. Take 7 months, reduce waste and stress in your life, and open your eyes to how God meant living life "more abundantly".
Yeah, a little crazy with a newborn and a new house, but I think there will always be excuses!

Move It

I have only been a little bit busy because we BOUGHT A HOUSE! Obviously, you have to shout that part. This is a big deal.

It's address belongs to Olathe, Kansas and we are SUPER pumped about it! Can't believe that my junior high will be in my backyard, my parents are literally 1.1 miles away from us and Andie can grow up where I did!

Get this: we are ALMOST doubling our square footage from our last house. So OBVIOUSLY, this means I need to go shopping. I mean, as of now, I'm pretty sure I have 4 empty rooms. We don't move in until mid July, so I have some time. In the mean time, bring on the mood boards, online carts at Crate & Barrel that I have no intention on actually purchasing, and seven thousand pics on my phone of rugs, furniture, paint colors, etc.

This is so fun! Andie will have a backyard to play in, it COMES WITH A SWING SET. hello!
God is good. God is good. God is good.
What a fun chapter in life.

Sorry for all the caps lock.

#newmomprobs

There are some weeks that I feel like "Yes! I nailed it! I am a stinking incredible mom! She loves me! We get each other!" ... and then there's weeks like this one where I have no. earthly. clue what to do and I have gotten thismuch sleep.

What. on. earth. motherhood.

We have both had a cold, dad has been gone for a week, we're working on crying it out at night, her 3 hour feedings are not quite making it every 3 hours, I have no idea how long or when she is going to nap at this point.... I just need a break girl!

Love this quote by Ray Romano:

"Everyone should have kids. They are the greatest joy in the world. But they are also terrorists. You'll realize this as soon as they're born, and they start using sleep deprivation to break you."

Saturday Dump Day!

It's phone dump day:::

Daddy got home last night finally! This obviously calls for Daddy-Daughter naptime.

Nana and I enjoyed a Nordstrom's Cafe date with baby girl. She clearly wasn't too impressed (bottom right).

Also, Andie hates our walk/runs. But she'll get used to it. I'm determined.

Andie is KILLING tummy time, so I just HAD to pick up this tummy time mat at Target. She loves it, I think.

Papa has his two babies. One doesn't care for the other. Which one would that be? *note: handful of fur.

Happy Saturday! Go take a nap!

Techy Troubles

So.... broken iPhone + stupid MacBook Air + no other options = no posts with pictures. And let's just be real. Who wants to read.

So I'm keepin this short.
I'll try to solve the issue soon. (Pray that I can finally get a new iPhone... I still use a Motorola. Just kidding.)

For now, relate to this. I totally am.

4 Months

I mean seriously, when did Andie Nicole stop having a swollen face and triple in length?! She is so perfectly sweet, I can't imagine a better 4 months!

Height: 26 inches (95% HOLY COW GIRL!)
Weight: 15 lbs. 5 oz

Good Dr. News: no more heart murmur! Praise the Lord!

What you like right now:
  • Sitting up! No more acting like a baby!
  • Grabbing things and putting them STRAIGHT in your mouth. Usually it's my hair.
  • Watching us eat real food and opening your mouth when it comes close to you. It's seriously too precious.
  • The best chew toy: my finger, then Sophie.
  • Tummy time! You actually enjoy it for the first 5 min.
  • You LOVE the weirdest noises, and girl... I will make them all day long for that squeal.
  • You are so funny. When we pick you up, you start "running" with your legs.
  • Your emotions are always obvious. You got them expressive eyebrows, girlfriend.
  • RICE CEREAL. You cannot eat this fast enough. Nana swears she's never seen a baby go to a spoon so quickly!

What you don't like:
  •  Not being able to eat my food. See the theme this month? :)
  • Laying down or being held like a baby. Noooo way, Jose!
  • Waking up seems to be rough for you right now. Me too, girl. Me too.
  • Being in your exersaucer too long. You tell us when time's up like rightthisminute.

We just gotta work on this sleeping through the night thing. Every 3-4 hours of waking up is NOT working for this mama! Pray for us as we try crying it out!

Please ignore my face. Her curly lips were too cute not to put up here.

There are just a few things I'm DYING over right now, so I thought I'd blog about it. There are a million things that I absolutely love and a million things I just can't stand for Andie. These are the ones we love:
